The whirlwind

Ok, so for those of you who didn't know already my life has been a whirlwind this past week. I went from signing up for classes at IPFW to moving to Muncie and quickly too. So here it is.

Monday morning:
I get a call to do an interview at Yorktown High School, they need a new chemistry teacher. They want me to interview at 5:00 that day. I had just been trying to sign up for classes at IPFW the previous night.

Monday evening:
After a very short interview I felt like I didn't have a shot. So at 8:30ish when I get a call offering me the job I'm excited. The catch? I have to get a packet of information ready and get signed up for an emergency license. Oh, and school starts in 1 week.

Tuesday-Wednesday:
Got everything ready so I could leave work on Friday. It was sad, but it was fast enough I didn't have time to think about anything.

Thursday:
Got my books and everything I would need to start making lesson plans and such. Got a tour of the school and their expectations. Then I went apartment hunting and found a great on in Mill Pond with a balcony and a second bedroom for an office. Awesome.

Friday:
Left work at noon, had a meeting at Purdue, then packed up my stuff from home and headed out with the van and trailer.

Saturday morning:
Got up at 5AM and started loading the van here. I'm almost completely ready to go. When Kelli is ready we're heading to Yorktown to start getting the room ready and unload at the apartment. Tonight mom and dad come with the other van I loaded at home and then we head back to the lake for my desk, bed, and whatever little things are left.

Sunday:
Unpack and keep getting ready for school.

Monday:
First teacher day, meetings and training all day, meet people and hope to remember their names.

Tueday:
Students start and I sink or swim.
